By using x-ray structural analysis, the modifying action of the salts of transition metals (CuCl2 аnd FeCl3) on the structure formation of a polyurethane cationomer is investigated. It is established that the salt of Cu promotes an increase of the perfection of the microphase structure of the polymer, while the salt of Fe causes its destruction. The conclusion about the formation of donor-acceptor coordination centers with the participation of urethane groups and cations metals (Cu^2+ or Fe^3+) in the intermolecular space of hard blocks of polyurethane cationomers is made.
