A new species of the Pachydeminae subfamily is described and the new genus Kryzhanovskia gen. n. is determined for it. The genus is characterized by the following features: the last segment of maxillary palps is long, narrow, without a fossa on top; antennae are ten-segment with a six-segment club (Fig. 2); the first segment of the club is somewhat (approximatly by 0.2 of the length) shorter than the second segment; ungues in the front of the apex are deeply splitted (Fig. 3). The typical species is Kryzhanovskia olegi sp. n. Pachydeminae differs from all the known Palearctic genera in a six-segment club of antennae. The genus and species are named in honour of 0. L. Kryzhanovskij, the well-known Soviet entomologist.
