Анотація:
The paper concerns issues of geography and development of markets of small enter -
prises in Ukraine and is based on sociological surveys conducted in Kiev, Khmelnitski
and Vinnitsa in the framework of the following projects: “Identifying the support
needs of small enterprises in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus” (TACIS ACE, contract
№ T95-4139R) and “The contribution of small businesses to regional economic
development in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus” (INTAS-Ukraine, contract № UA95-
266). It was revealed that in Ukraine small firms which are active in external market
development, in particular on the account of constant renovation of products and
services produced, have more chances to retain and increase the volume of sales.
