Реверберовані лексеми з коренями -слов-і -слоуш -у писемних пам’ятках Східної Славії ХІ–ХІІІ ст.

Abstract

Стаття присвячена реконструкції семантичної структури, з’ясуванню функціонально-семантичних особливостей лексем з коренями ‑слов‑і ‑слоуш‑зі значенням соціально-етичної оцінки особи (лъжесловесьникъ, праздьнословьць, соуесловьникъ, послоушьливыи, благопослоушьливыи, богопослоушьливъ тощо). Показано, що семантика коренів ‑слов‑і ‑слоуш‑сягає часів індоєвропейської мовної єдності, зберігає зв’язок з прототиповими ознаками (‛слухати’ / ‛чути’, ‛холодний’, ‛твер­дий’ тощо), поєднує в собі синкретичний зміст давньогрецького Слова‑ΛΌΓΟΣ і старослов’янської лексеми ñëîâî. Аналіз проведено на матеріалі східнослов’янських писемних пам’яток ХІ–ХІІІ ст.

The article is based on the analysis of Old East Slavic literary monuments of the XI–XIII centuries. The research touches upon the reconstruction of semantic structure and functional-semantic features of Old Russian lexemes with roots ‑слов‑ and ‑слоуш‑ with the meanings of a socio-ethical assessment of person (лъжесловесьникъ, праздьнословьць, соуесловьникъ, послоушьливыи, благопослоушьливыи, богопослоушьливъ etc.). It is shown that the semantic relations of the roots ‑слов‑ and ‑слоуш‑ go back to the time of Indo-European linguistic unity, reveal semantic proximity. It has been demonstrated that semantics of words contains links with prototype signs (listen to / hear, cold, solid etc.); the features of the formation of cultural, ethical semantics of lexemes are traced. In the Eastern Slavic written monuments of the XI–XIII cent. thirty-eight nouns and adjectives with roots ‑слов‑ and ‑слоуш‑ have been certified in the use in relation to man. The absolute majority of lexemes is reverberated, words occur sporadically in written monuments of the XI–XIII cent. Two-thirds of the words are composites with prepositional bases лъже‑, мало‑, годо‑, праздьно‑, соуе‑, тъще‑, стоудо‑, скверьно‑, бого‑; they were formed as a result of translations from Greek. The variation of semantically and morphologically close nouns (лъжесловьць — лъжесловесьникъ, малословьцъ — малословесьникъ etc.) is described. Lexemes with root ‑слоуш‑ have a simple semantic structure, mark semantics of obedience / disobedience, words are combined into antonymic pairs (ослоушьливыи — неослоушьливыи, послоушьливыи — непослоушьливыи etc.); they are rarely used, reverberated mainly in translated monuments. It is found that the semantics of complex words with these roots incorporated syncretic content of the ancient Greek Word‑ΛΌΓΟΣ and the Old Slavic lexeme ñëîâî. More than ninety percent of lexemes represent a negative connotation pole, ethical antinorm (semantics of lies, babble, excessive talkativeness, shame, dirt, disagreement etc.), ten percent of lexemes represent a positive connotation pole, ethical norm (semantics of mind, spirituality, obedience, Christian humility).
