Abstract

Ця студія присвячена міграціям ранніх кочівників — кімерійців та скіфів. Кімерійська міграція через Кавказ у Малу Азію була спричинена міграцією скифів на захід від Волги та Уралу. До Передньої Азії вторгнулась лише частина скифів, яка заснувала скифське царство у Шакашені. Вона здійснювала напади на кімерійців, що призвело до переселення кімерійців з кордонів Урарту до Каппадокії. Тиск, який чинили скіфи та ассирійці на кімерійців, вимусив останніх шукати собі здобиччі у Фригії, Лідії та володіннях греків. Падіння Ассирії та утворення Мідії сформували нову політичну мапу регіону. Скіфське царство на Південному Кавказі стало одним із васальних володінь Мідії. Частина скіфів, яка не бажала коритися мідійцям, мігрувала на захід та знайшла прихисток у Лідії. Лідійці за допомогою скіфів знищили кімерійське вождівство в Малій Азії.

This study is devoted to the migrations of Early nomads — Cimmerians and Scythians. Cimmerian migrations through the Caucasus to Asia Minor was caused by migration Scythians from Central Asia in steppes to the west of the Volga and the Urals in VIII century BC. Only part of the Scythians invaded in South-West Asia. This Scythians founded Scythian kingdom in Shakashen. They carried out the attacks on the Cimmerians, which led to the migration of Cimmerians from borders of Urartu to Cappadocia. The pressure of Scythians and Assyrians to Cimmerians, cause they last seek prey in Phrygia, Lydia and dominions of Greeks. The fall of Assyria and the formation of Media formed a new political map of the region. Scythian kingdom in the South Caucasus was one of vassal dominions of Media. Part of the Scythians, who did not want to obey the Medes, migrated west and found refuge in Lydia. Lydians destroyed Cimmerian chiefdom in Asia Minor with the help of Scythians. History of Cimmerians in Eastern Europe bad studied due to fragmentation written sources. Conquest of Black Sea Littoral steppes by the Scythians made another group, than the one that was in the Caucasus. Expanding the influence of Eastern Scythians can be dated to the end of VI century BC, when after a successful war against the Persians, Scythians made their lieges number of neighboring nations. Massagetae be directly identified with Dahae of Ancient East sources. Saka-Parasugudam was a separate group of Saka, which live in Jetysu and Tien-Shan. Saka-tihrahauda and haomavarha, like the Dahae, in the V century BC formally dependent on the Persians. Massagets- Dahae did not commit significant migrations to the III. BC.
