У статті висвітлюються основні біографічні відомості про Антона Лютницького – українського
громадського діяча першої чверті ХХ століття, етнографа і метеоролога. До наукового обігу вперше
вводиться ряд нових джерел, пов'язаних з діяльністю Лютницького та інших історичних постатей
цього періоду. Листування Лютницького показує, що він був особисто знайомий з багатьма діячами
українського національного та революційного руху. Встановлено, що Лютницький із 1910 по 1937 рік
очолював Мархотську метеорологічну станцію під Новоросійськом. В 1917-1918 роках він брав участь
у житті української громади Новоросійська, а на початку 1920 року, імовірно, переховував у себе від
денікінців засновника українського «націонал-комунізму» Василя Шахрая незадовго до його загибелі.
В 1937-1941 рр. Антон Лютницький очолював Опішнянську метеостанцію, а в червні 1941 р. був репресований органами НКВС, помер у тюрмі в Татарстані 1942 року.
The article covers the main biographical information about Anton Lyutnitsky - the Ukrainian public figure
of the first quarter of the twentieth century, an ethnographer and a meteorologist. A number of new sources
connected with the activity of Lyutnitsky and other historical figures of this period are introduced for the first
time in scientific circulation.The correspondence of Lyutnitsky show sthatheis personally familiar with many
figures of the Ukrainian national and revolution ary movement. Established that Lyutnitsky from 1910 to 1937
headed the Markotkh Meteorological Stationunder Novorossiysk. In the years 1917-1918, heparticipatedin the
life of theUkrainian community of Novorossiysk, and intheearly 1920s, presumably, hehid from army Denikin
the founder of theUkrainian «national-communism»Vasily Shakhrayashortlybeforehisdeath. In 1937-1941 Anton
Lyutnitsky headed the Opishnia Meteorological Station, and in June 1941 hewasre pressed by the NKVD, died
inprisonin Tatarstanin 1942.
