Новые материалы к систематике и эволюции слепушонок номинативного подрода рода Ellobius (Rodentia, Cricetidae)

Abstract

The extinct Late Pliocene Ellobiini of the southern European part of the USSR are revised with special reference to relations and principal trends in their development. The Mediterranean and Asiatic origins are suggested for subgenera Afganomys and Ellobius, respectively. The evolutionary d a t a of dentition in Ellobius and ancient rooted teeth Microtinaepermitted includingt h e t r i b eEllobiini into Microtinae sublamily. Ellobius tiligulensis sp. n. is described from Tiligul (Farly Taman") of the South Ukraine; it is characteristic with largeb o d ys i z e ,constant presence o fthe mimomys fold, wide confluence of the Mi enamel fields and weak dentine tracks development.
