Ойконімікон України: минуле й сьогодення (на матеріалі Тернопільщини)

Abstract

У статті розглянуто особливості становлення фрагмента ойконімікону Тернопільської області від часу першофіксації до сьогодні, проаналізовано основні структурно-дериваційні й номінаційні типи назв поселень регіону, встановлено, що характерною рисою ойконімів Тернопільської області є наявність багатьох назв, утворених за архаїчними словотвірними моделями, що вказує на давній характер заселення цього терену.

The article describes peculiarities of formation of the oikonym’s fragment on Temopil region from time first fixation until today. The main structural and derivational types and the nomination of the names of the settlements of the region are analyzed. A characteristic feature of the oikonyms of Temopil region is the presence of many names formed with archaic word-formative models, which indicates the ancient character of this field.
