«Дарування Мойсею божественного закону» або «Синайське законодавство» у Спасо-Преображенському соборі (ХІ ст.) м. Чернігова

Abstract

Ця студія є своєрідним продовженням дослідження комплексу настінного олійного розпису, який був створений у Спасо-Преображенському соборі (ХІ ст.) Чернігова у першій чверті ХІХ ст. і якому авторка присвятила ряд попередніх студій. Мета цієї публікації – детально розглянути та описати монументальну композицію, яка знаходиться на західній стіні центральної нави собору і є однією з наймасштабніших, з’ясувати значення цієї композиції в системі розписів храму загалом, встановити її логічний зв’язок із іншими частинами стінопису, вкотре привернути увагу до настінного розпису як важливої складової внутрішнього опорядження древнього храму. Методи дослідження. Оскільки йдеться про мистецький твір, передусім використовувалися такі методи як опис, аналіз та інтерпретація. Наукова новизна полягає в тому, що ця композиція детально описується й аналізується вперше. Встановлено іконографічне джерело композиції «Синайське законодавство», зроблено порівняльний аналіз джерела й настінної композиції. Висновки. Місце розташування композиції вказує на те, що вона виконує значне виховне навантаження, а саме нагадує вірянам про заповіді, яких людство зобов’язалося дотримуватися перед Всевишнім. Ці заповіді є важливими й у старозавітному світі, й у новозавітному, т. ч. композиція стінопису, що нагадує про Божественний Закон, об’єднує у смисловому значенні настінні розписи північної нави (Старий Заповіт) та південної нави (Новий Заповіт).

This studio is a kind of continuation of the research of the wall oil painting complex which was created in the Spaso-Preobrazhenskiy Cathedral (XI c.) in Chernihiv in the first quarter of the XIX c. and to which the author has dedicated a number of previous publications. The purpose of this publication is to consider and describe in detail the monumental composition which is located on the west wall of the central nave of the cathedral and is one of the largest, to find out the meaning of this composition in the system of paintings of the temple in general, to establish its logical connection with other parts of the wall painting, once again to attract attention to the mural as an important component of the interior decoration of the ancient temple. Research methods. As a work of art is studied, such research methods as description, analysis and interpretation were primarily used. The scientific novelty is that the given composition is described in detail and analyzed for the first time. The iconographic source of the composition «Sinai Legislation » is established, the comparative analysis of a source and a wall composition is made. Conclusions. The location of the composition indicates that it carries a significant educational load, and it reminds believers about the commandments that mankind has pledged to abide itself before the Almighty. These commandments are important both in the Old Testament world and in the New Testament including the composition of the mural that remins of the Divine Law and unites the murals of the northern nave (Old Testament) and the southern nave (New Testament) in a semantic sense.
