Анотація:
This article attempts to analyze the issues of formation and preservation of ethnic and cultural identity of the Ukrainian minority group who come from the former Suchava district in Romania: population , condition of native language instruction at schools, religion, cultural development, access to mass-media, self-identification of the national traditions, etc. For this purpose the material studied includes the material of ethnographic expeditions conducted by members of Ethnos Student Scientific Club under the supervision of the author to the Ukrainian villages of the former Suchava district of Romania. And in particular, the research was carried out in five villages: Nehostyna, Balkivtsi community, Velyka Marytseya and Dermeneshty (Dermeneshty community), Ulma and Nisipit, Ulma community.
