Анотація:
The article provides a detailed activity research of P. Hudzenko (1907–1994), a
Ukrainian archivist, specialist in early text studies, historian, one of the founders of
Ukrainian archival system, over the 1941–1945 period. A special emphasis is made
on his role in arranging evacuation of archival documents at the very beginning
of the war, organizing work of the operational group of the Directorate for NKVS
State Archives of Ukrainian SSR on the front-line area (1942–1943), reactivation
of the archival system within the reconstruction period (1943–1945), returning of
archival documents removed by the occupants.
