Анотація:
A new species, Myomimus setzeri sp. n., is described on the basis of studies in three samples of mouse-like dormouse from the collection of the National Museum of Natural history (Washington) caught in north-western Iran.
Diagnosis. Small dimensions as in Myomimus personatus. Colour of the back s greyish-pale-yellow-light-brownish. Belly is white. No longitudinal stripe on the back. No spots on the posterior part of the body and on posterior paws. At the bottom of the interpterygoid space there are two orifices on each side of presphenoid. Pterygoid plates are well developed, pterygoid fossae are deep. The lower edge of the infraorbital canal is arranged slantwise upward. Acoustic tympana are relatively small. Section of the mandible articular facet is roundish.
