У статті виявлено зв’язки малої прози Михайла Яцкова з
музикою, простежено, як здійснювалися її тематизація автором,
з’ясовано рівні літературно-музичних кореляцій, обґрунтовано
експліцитний характер інтермедіальності творів письменника.
Особливу увагу приділено функціональному навантаженню у творах
автора струнних музичних інструментів: арфи та скрипки.
Музичність літературних творів письменника розглядається як
додатковий засіб смислотворення, що збагачує виражальні
можливості художнього слова.
The article deals with the «Music in the literature» problem, the ways of its
verbal implementation in the literary works of Mykhailo Yatskov. The author of the
article comes to the conclusion that the writer has used the musical terminology
deliberately to emphasize their close relationship with music: «Adagio consolante»,
«Rіzdviany Minuet» The article reveals connection between the short fiction by Mykhailo Yatskov
and music. It's shown how the topic «music» is embodied in the works of the author.
The levels of literary and musical correlations are determined; the explicit nature of
intermediality is justified in the article.
Forms of representation of music in the short stories by Mykhailo Yatskov vary:
the updated musical terminology; names of musical instruments; reproduction of the
performance process and perception of music by listeners; representation of
impressions and associations, inspired by them. The description of music in the
novels and stories by M.Yatskov confirms competence and profound knowledge of the
author in this field, her musical interests, and her personal experience of reception.
Particular attention is paid to the functional load of stringed musical instruments (the harp and the violin) in the author's works. The author’s introduction of the musical instruments names – string and wind instruments – into
verbal pieces of the text contributes to the actualization of their symbolism, expansion of the associative field of the text, enrichment of the emotional and expressive resources of literature, its suggestive influence on the reader. The writer
gives preference to the string musical instruments. The article focuses on the word music ‘verbal music’ that is manifested in the
literary sound imitation. The fonic expressiveness of the writer’s works is achieved
due to repetitions: assonance, alliteration, onomatopoeia. The musicality of the
writer’s literary works is seen as an additional means of meaning-making, enriching
the expressive possibilities of artistic expression.
