Rieznik, K.; Reshetnyk, V.M.
Astroclimate parameters such as the atmospheric extinction, the night-sky brightness, and the seeing are studied using the observational data obtained at some Kyiv observatories. The first parameter is determined using the brief Bouguer method. The night-sky brightness is calculated using the images of standard stars in different filters. And the seeing is estimated basing on the FWHM of star profiles obtained during a set of observations at Kyiv observatories.

We present the results of testing the commercial digital camera Nikon D90 with a CMOS sensor for high-speed photometry with a small telescope Celestron 11ʺ at the Peak Terskol Observatory. CMOS sensor allows to perform photometry in 3 filters simultaneously that gives a great advantage compared with monochrome CCD detectors. The Bayer BGR colour system of CMOS sensors is close to the Johnson BVR system. The results of testing show that one can carry out photometric measurements with CMOS cameras for stars with the V-magnitude up to ≃14ᵐ with the precision of 0.01ᵐ. Stars with the V-magnitude up to ∼10 can be shot at 24 frames per second in the video mode.

We present the on-line version of the catalogue-atlas of photographic observations along the path of comet Liller (1988a). The comet was observed in the N. D. Kalinenkov Astronomical Observatory (AOK) of the Nikolaev National University from April to June 1988. Digitizing of negatives with flatbed scanner and astrometric calibration of digitized images resulted in creation a VOTable version of the catalogue available through the interface of the interactive sky atlas ALADIN.

Fursiak, Yu.A.
With the development of computer technology a topical problem to digitize the astronomical data stored on various media, for their preservation and accessibility for further faster and more accurate processing has arisen. Creation of a digital archive of observational data obtained with the KG-2 coronagraph and stored on photographic films has been started at the Department of the Solar Physics of the Scientific Research Institute "Crimean Astrophysical Observatory". We obtained satisfactory results in comparing a part of the spectrum digitized with EPSON Expression 10000XL scanner and with the MF-2 type scanning microphotometer which was used before. This allows the scanner to be used in the future to create the archive. We also developed a special software, which speeds up the processing of scanned data, and tried to minimize and eliminate potential errors.
